I show you a fast and easy way to get .EDU backlinks. If you are not aware, an .EDU backlink is a link to your website from an educational university/institution.
Google REALLY loves these types of links. Just a few of these can give your site a fast and permanent boost in search rankings.

Good stuff Brian. Fivver is such a good resource for quick tasks to outsource like link building, research, etc. Good find with the .edu links. Only thing I wouldn’t recommend fivver for is design and logo work. Just not a good idea.
Agreed…I tested out some design stuff for a goof, and it was awful.

Can buy a lot of bookmarking links also. Have to be willing to waste $5 every now and then, but worth it when you find a good one.

some do, so don’t. but even nofolllow links are good to have. if you only have dofollow, it will look unnatural.

Not for a really high quality one. Ones link that you need to buy/rent in most cases…will run more than $5 though.
I got a few 5′s, a few 4′s and a lot of 1′s and 2′s from this buy with fiverr. Not a bad buy.

I’m relatively new to SEO but finding it quite fascinating, I took your advice a few weeks back and bought the 12 edu links from the same person you did. Firstly a couple of weeks on it seems that these links have not been registered with google (I use sheerseo and they haven’t appeared). Also while some of them are dofollow, I question do they really add any significant value? I haven’t seen any improvement in my domain (I am just learning so just trying to promote my name and personal website, which is hardly contested google space). I also twigged it seems quite easy to find such links (from the report of .edu domains if you then do a specific site search for that domain with ‘blog’ you can find even more posts and places to comment). Given the amount of people now doing this (and I’m also guessing once you paid for the fivverr option you could create a similar gig) surely each link would have very little link juice? so does a .edu domain really help? and is not google on to this form of SEO (and is it not blackhat)?

Blackhat/Whitehat is subjective… On one hand, anything that intentionally alters the search results is “blackhat”. I define it as something that is maliciously altering results….such as Google Bowliing (where you get a competitors site banned).
These are just one tool in link building…I’ve had very good success with it.
And there are very , very few people that are doing this…you are in the top 1% for sure…more like the top .001%.
Just keep at it. You’ll get there.
