Givin’ the “Horns” at the 2011 Grammy Award After Party in LA
Yes…I, Brian Horn, can now add “Record Producer” to the resume. I’ve kept this project under wraps from just about everyone for quite a while now.
I have ZERO musical talent (outside of being able to play Highway to Hell on iShred
), but have always, always, always wanted to be a part of a great rock album.
Well…I was lucky enough to be a producer on a new album by a band I’ve been a fan of…The Sub Atari Knives. Little dub, little techno…lots of aggressive rock…totally my style of music.
Now, I have no delusions of grandeur…I’m still changing baby diapers and wrestling with the kiddos…but this was something always on my bucket list.
I can’t EVER see myself doing this again (but I do have one other cool “Cross Off The Bucket List” project I’ll be sharing later this year).
Anyway…I’ll be giving everyone on my list a digital copy of the full album as soon as it comes out.
But for now, you can listen to the first single, “Hear. Life. Spoken”, right below.

HHAHAHAHAH! They SUCK BALLS! hahahah
Sorry bro,
Just being honest.
-Joe
Everyone can have an opinion…no offense taken.
Nice work man! This is really good Brian!!
-Don
Thanks Don…this was all about just doing one thing I always wanted to do.
Hi Brian, and congratulations. Most people have it wrong when it comes to understanding old sayings. What I mean is life is too long to live it without actively pursuing your dreams, desires and anything else, within reason, that helps you check off items accomplished from your bucket list.
The group is entertaining and could easily surprise any naysayers. But that’s not the most important thing I got from your message.
Thanks for sharing….and Bon Voyage as you continue journeying through your bucket list:)
Sable
You get “it”, Sable. This was all about doing something that I always wanted to do, but never thought I could.
Not my choice of music but it sounds pretty cool… Good energy!
best of all, congrats on putting a line through a BIG ONE on your bucket list
All about getting those things off “the list”.
That’s a good track Brian. We’ve got an awesome (experienced) producer for our first album and this is up there with that. Good work!
Looking forward to hearing the album.
Exactly my kinda music. Anything with techno is what I call work music. I like it. When a family friend that is chairman of Interscope told me they signed Tiesto I was blown away. He said that is what record companies are looking for.
Good Luck!
YAH!! Right ON!!! good for you Brian!!! Rock on!!
